Madex at OCTF Vietnam 2026:
Turning Waste into New Value
From waste to value. From existing materials to new opportunities.
From 16 to 18 September, Madex Vietnam took part in OCTF Vietnam 2026, the fourth edition of the Intelligent Technology Exhibition, held at the Vietnam Exhibition Centre (VEC) in Hanoi.
Dedicated to technology, innovation and new solutions for industry, the event gave Madex the opportunity to bring a clear vision into a context beyond the traditional textile sector: even what is considered waste can become a resource from which new value can be created.
Turning Waste into New Value
The concept developed for the exhibition directly reflected the Madex approach: starting with first-quality fabrics, production leftovers and damaged garments that would normally be discarded to explore new possibilities for their use.
It is not simply about reducing waste, but about transforming existing materials into distinctive products through technical expertise, creativity and manufacturing capabilities.
A concept summed up by the message featured throughout the stand:
“I’m not trash. I’m renewable value.”

A Different Approach in a Technology-Focused Environment
Madex’s presence at OCTF was intentionally different from that of exhibitors more closely associated with the technology and industrial sectors represented at the event.
And it was precisely this difference that sparked curiosity. The stand attracted many visitors, providing an opportunity to present not only products and manufacturing expertise, but above all a design philosophy based on recovery, transformation and the creation of new value.
As Andrea Galante, Co-Founder and CEO of Madex, explains, the experience lived up to expectations:
«The exhibition went as we expected. A great many people were intrigued by our presence, and we had the opportunity to share our philosophy. Many visitors were genuinely impressed, especially because here in Vietnam, awareness of recovery and sustainability is still relatively limited.»
Promoting a New Culture of Value
Taking part in OCTF Vietnam 2026 was therefore also an opportunity to engage with a market where these topics still have significant room for development.
For Madex, with its operational presence in Vietnam, this means continuing to bring together Italian expertise, manufacturing know-how and local knowledge, while helping to promote a different way of looking at materials and their life cycle.
